We couldn’t do what we do without the help of our amazing volunteer network. We’re always looking for more to join our mission to improve water quality across Clark County. Whether you’re looking to sample, snap pictures, or knock on doors, there’s a place for you here.
Upcoming Events and Volunteer Needs
Annual Lake Cleanup Day
Lacamas, Round, and Fallen Leaf Lakes
September 26th, 9:30 a.m. — around 11 a.m.
This year, join us as we litter pick and ivy pull around Round Lake, Fallen Leaf Lake, and two sites on Lacamas Lake. Registration is required! If you are organizing a group who plan to participate in Lacamas Lake Cleanup Day, please contact Paul Whitacre directly at paul@lacamaswatershed.org for more information.
We encourage volunteers to wear sturdy shoes and ask those who already have some to please bring your own work gloves, loppers, and a large disposable garbage bag to collect trash. All other materials will be provided.
Weekly Algae Monitoring
Join volunteer groups at Lacamas, Round, Fallen Leaf, and Vancouver Lake to take water quality samples that help grow our Phytoplankton Monitoring Network. Sampling around the Lacamas watershed and Vancouver Lake occurs on Thursdays.

Admin, Fundraising, Grants
Support the behind-the-scenes work that keeps the us thriving. Volunteers can help with administrative tasks, fundraising, grant research, and donor outreach. Your time and talents help secure the resources needed to protect and restore the Lacamas watershed.
Watershed Restoration
Help restore vegetation and prevent erosion by helping us plan and implement streamside restoration projects throughout the Lacamas watershed. Volunteers are needed to engage in outreach to neighborhoods in the watershed and plant native trees and shrubs in riparian areas.
Social Media and Marketing
Whether you have a talent for writing newsletters, taking pictures, creating marketing campaigns, or making community connections, we’re always looking for folks to help get the word out about Lacamas Watershed Council.
