WORKING TOGETHER TO RESTORE OUR LAKES

Lacamas Watershed Council

The Lacamas Watershed Council is a citizen group that advocates for improved water quality in our lakes. We believe this can be best achieved through positive collaboration with all identified stakeholders.

Our focus as an organization has been to keep a close eye on the water quality of Lacamas Lake and Round Lake. In doing so, we are able to have a quick response when there are dangerous levels of cyanobacteria present. These are the organisms that cause harmful algae blooms (HABS).

The map below is published by the Clark County Public Health Department. It shows their most recent data regarding water quality in the Lacamas Creek Watershed.

As of 2021, the City of Camas has begun work on the development of the Lacamas Lake Management Plan. To follow up on their progress, visit the project page on Engage Camas.
